Background
Our dedication to helping all our customers look their best has made us one of the most successful independent womenswear retailers in the UK. Our personal approach and exquisite on-trend Collections are adored by the ladies of Billericay, Brentwood, Ingatestone, Stock and the surrounding towns & villages. 2019 was our 95th Anniversary year, and we have never felt more proud of our heritage. In 1924 a young seamstress (my great aunt Norah Shelley) took the brave decision to start up business on her own. So, she rented her families tiny front room at 79 High Street and began offering her services to the ladies of the town, alongside the retail of haberdashery, wools and fancy drapery.
Through nine wonderful decades of fashion subsequent generations have stayed true to Norah’s original values – Outstanding customer care, inspiring fashion, and a passionate dedication to helping women look and feel their very best. We’ve won numerous awards and accolades over the decades, including being named a finalist in the Independant Women's Wear Retailer category atthe Drapers Industry Awards 2014.
Opening Hours
Our boutique’s doors are open Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm and Saturdays 9.30am - 5pm. We are closed Sundays and bank holidays.
